There were reports that 30 Russian military vehicles were destroyed, about 40 others were damaged, and some of them sank in the river, which constituted a great loss for the Russians.

Floating bridges are an indispensable means in wars to bypass water obstacles, especially rivers and canals with variable flow rates. Perhaps the most successful model in this is what the Egyptian forces did in the October War of 1973 when they crossed the Suez Canal in a record period.

He pointed out that the US military wants to benefit from what he described as Russia's mistake in the Battle of the River.

The site stated that army engineers are currently working to make the floating bridge technology more reliable and effective, after taking into account the experience of the Russians in the Donbass.

The US Army Center of Engineers is working in partnership with the Combat Support Program towards increasing the capacity of the floating bridges. The current floating bridge capacity of the US Army and Marine Corps is 105 vehicles that can carry or 85 tracked vehicles.

In extreme cases, this bridge, approved since 2003, can increase the load to 110 motorized vehicles or 90 tracked vehicles.
