The Islamic Movement of the National Congress, led by Mr. Ali Karti, held an important meeting that does not concern itself alone, but rather the revolution, the state and the future of Sudan.

The meeting took place on a farm in the Al-Ailafoun area belonging to the group's emirs last June. The meeting was attended by two deputies of former President Omar al-Bashir and a number of former state governors, the most famous of whom are two governors of Darfur states and one of the states of eastern Sudan, and a former general in the security apparatus who was the office manager of one of the group’s former leaders, who came from Turkey, and a large number of the group’s leaders .
The meeting put the final touches to the comprehensive plan to sabotage the revolution and regain control of the state, especially after the special services were revived, such as the People's Security, and were reorganized, and the possibilities and opportunities offered by the October 25 coup were discussed.

The group’s leaders expressed their anger at the slowness of the military component in taking quick steps in carrying out a complete coup and stressed the need to push them in this direction, and that the group is surrounded by state agencies and can use the leaders of the military component to restore its lost paradise.

The group’s leaders confirmed working towards early elections in 2023 to return in the name of democracy, and developed a plan to continue sabotaging the resistance committees, sowing strife among the forces of the revolution, preventing them from allying and agreeing among themselves, building platforms made within the forces of the revolution, fueling differences between them with revolutionary claims, and pushing initiatives in cooperation with the Sufi orders. To divert attention and sabotage any possibility of reaching a political solution.

The meeting focused on the need to return public and private funds and properties belonging to the group and its organizations and individuals, and the need to return those dismissed by the dismantling committee, especially in senior positions. They paid special attention to the justice system, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the economic and media sector. The meeting discussed how to deceive the internal community and the regional and international forces opposed to the group's return.

It is paradoxical that the disease of racism and hatred that the group spread in the broad community harvested it in its meeting and moved to its ranks. The members of the group disagreed about the renewal of its emir for a period of four years.

The group is working to tighten control over the regular forces and create a wedge between the army and the rapid support, and it faces a real challenge in how to control the rapid support.

The group is working to sabotage any productive political process between the military component and civilians, especially with the forces of freedom and change, and it is deeply afraid of the return of democratic civilian rule as the biggest (bogeyman) facing the group. It is noticeable that important figures who are outside prisons did not participate in the meeting, including a declared president of the National Conference, which raises questions about the unity of the group. There is also talk that one of the influential people in the group, who was an ambassador in a superpower, is working on building a new organization and has many resources.

Whatever the case, the group did not understand the lessons of the past, especially the glorious December revolution, and did not want to renew itself by addressing the real issues it faces and the whole of Sudan, and it seeks the power that it seized for thirty years, and bequeathed it to Sudan and our current conditions, and today it does not have the capabilities of Dr. Hassan al-Turabi and the capabilities of its previous leaders. Which led to the takeover of the state, and faced rejection and a lively movement from the street in which millions of young people participate, making apostasy impossible. In light of a very complex local, regional and international reality.

Mr. Ali Karti needs to renew the group and leave it to a new generation that is reconciled with itself and with democracy, freedom and justice, and with the fact that the group has corrupted the state and is besieged by the revolution and needs a truce with itself before others.

The best current attempts by Islamists - despite the reservations of some - is the position of Dr. Ali Al-Hajj, who chose from inside the prison to stand with the restoration of democracy, and Dr. Ali Al-Hajj, who has historical legitimacy after the absence of Dr. Al-Turabi.

If the counter-revolutionary forces have a clear plan, then it is a fortiori that the plans of the revolutionary forces be more clear and behind them are columns of martyrs’ unity. It is noticeable that the revolutionary forces are more unified in the states and regions, and some of them have reached to form a unified civil front, and the unity of the revolutionary forces in those states is less complicated than in the capital, and this is a good and promising thing.
