The #world is awaiting the "grain agreement" .. and #Ukraine warns of provocation #usa
Today, Friday, the world is awaiting the signing of the "grain agreement", to be signed by Russia and Ukraine with the United Nations and Turkey, with the aim of resuming exports of this vital substance and alleviating the global food crisis.
The agreement will be signed in Istanbul, Turkey, in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
On Friday, Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhailo Podolyak announced that Ukraine would respond to any Russian "provocation", noting that his country would sign a grain export agreement with the United Nations and Turkey only, with Russia expected to sign a separate agreement.
Mikhailo Podolyak wrote on his Twitter account: "Ukraine does not sign any documents with Russia. We sign and adhere to an agreement with Turkey and the United Nations. Russia signs a similar agreement with Turkey and the United Nations."
Podolyak warned that "any Russian provocation after this agreement will face a military response immediately."
For its part, the Kremlin said that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu went to Turkey to sign an agreement on grain exports.
Ukraine and Russia are among the world's largest food exporters. Grain exports witnessed a significant decline immediately after the start of the war between the two countries.
The suspension of grain exports during the five-month-old war caused prices to rise significantly, which affected a number of countries in the world.
