The Russian "Novosti" news agency reported, on Tuesday, that the Russian unmanned aircraft "Sirius" will make its first flight later this year.
RIA Novosti quoted Oleg Shilov, the general director of the "Kronstadt" company specializing in unmanned aviation, as saying that the Russian drone will fly in the air in the remainder of the year 2022, without giving a specific date.
The company revealed this model in 2019 at the international air show, "MAKS", which was hosted by the Russian capital, Moscow.
In January 2022, the company announced that the expected plane would take off in May, but this did not happen.
According to information published by the Russian "TASS" agency, this plane can fly for up to 40 hours continuously, and is specialized in attack and surveillance.
It has a wingspan of 35 meters, a speed of 180 kilometers per hour, and a flight of up to 12,000 meters.
This aircraft can fly with a combat payload of 450 kilograms.
