US Representative: #Putin is increasing the number of the #Russian army, and we are experiencing recruitment problems

Member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party, Lauren Bobert, indicated that the US army is suffering from a shortage in the number of those wishing to join its ranks, while Russia is increasing the number of its soldiers.

"Putin signs a decree to increase the number of the Russian armed forces by 137,000. This is happening while we are seeing a problem with military conscription, because our soldiers are being trained in 'wake up' rather than combat capabilities," Poubert wrote on Twitter on Thursday.


The MP wrote this in reference to the "Stay Awake" campaign, which aims to raise awareness of issues of equality and combat racial discrimination in society, including in the army.

This also comes against the backdrop of the Russian President's signing of a decree to increase the strength of the Russian forces by 137 thousand personnel to reach one million and 150 thousand and 628 personnel.
